EXTERNAL AFFAIRS & RELATIONS DIVISION (EARD)
The External Affairs & Relations Division (EARD) has the mission to identify concerns, issues, programs and services where CCCI can be of assistance; to develop viable programs and strategies for advocacy to make the CCCI a major catalyst in the promotion of a healthy business environment and relations and linkages with the multi-sectoral community; to promote and institutionalize partnerships with local, regional, national and international organizations; and to enhance CCCI’s image especially with the general public. EARD accomplishes its mandate through the preparation of advocacy and research papers; media relations; provision of staff support to the EARD committees that liaison with the various government and non-government bodies with which the CCCI has established formal linkages.
Business Advocacy – A service designed to uphold the interest of business through a system of consultations, dialogues and lobbying with concerned institutions, government agencies and local government units. A lobbying mechanism on various issues, policies, programs and projects all geared towards the development and enhancement of business to make CCCI a major catalyst in the promotion of a healthy business environment for Cebu and the region. Image promotion – The media relations component of CCCI is primarily tasked to provide relevant and updated information on business and business-related subjects through press and photo releases, press briefings and conferences, road shows and interviews. Linkages with government and non-government organizations and peoples organizations – A service designed to establish relations and linkages with government, the multi-sectoral community; local, regional, national and international organizations. It also fosters a strong partnership with the local and national government units and agencies, non-government organizations for the establishment of viable programs and strategies for economic development. Publications and Presentations – Its major task is the development and production of Chamber publications like newsletters and annual reports which are regularly disseminated to all members. Outreach Project – A service assistance to calamity victims in the community by providing financial aid, materials and goods with the help of the various CCCI member- companies. This is also one way of encouraging members to exercise Corporate Social Responsibility.
