Dear CCCI Members,
BE ONE OF THE FIRST PHILIPPINE COMPANIES TO SET A FOOTHOLD in the maiden edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) which will be held on 5-10 November 2018 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, China!
The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in joint undertaking with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Bank of China, Philippine Exporters Confederation (PhilExport), International Chamber of Commerce, Philippines (ICCP), Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization (Philfoodex), Inc., Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) and the Philippine Silk Road International Chamber of Commerce (PSIRCC), takes the lead in organizing the biggest ever country participation in an overseas trade fair, with over 100 Philippine product and service exporters, investors and government representatives. No less than President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to lead the Philippine delegation.
Personally announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Belt and Road Forum on May 2017, the CIIE is a major international event that shows China’s firm support to trade liberalization and actively open the Chinese market to the world. CIIE is the only trade show in China to date which will feature foreign exhibitors, and no China companies on the exhibit floor. Further, China is expecting to import goods and services worth more than US$ 10 trillion in the following years, and this provides a historic trade event for enterprises worldwide to enter the huge Chinese market. Following this important announcement, DTI seizes this window of opportunity to promote Philippine products and services, and be able to achieve a significant share of the China market. The CIIE will focus mainly on importation of goods and services to China. The section of trade in goods includes 6 exhibitions areas: High-end Intelligent Equipment; Consumer Electronics & Appliances; Automobile; Apparel, Accessories & Consumer Goods; Food & Agricultural Products; Medical Equipment & Medical Care Products. The section of trade in services comprises Tourism Services, Emerging Technologies, Culture & Education, Creative Design and Service Outsourcing. For more information, please find attached exhibition brochure or visit their website at www.neccsh.com.
To promote this event, the DTI partnered with said relevant business organizations, the Embassy of China and Bank of China in Manila to conduct CIIE Roadshows in Manila, Cebu and Davao. The CIIE Roadshow dubbed as the China International Import Expo (CIIE): Your Gateway to the China Market, will include a presentation on CIIE and discussion on export opportunities in China and its import regulations. Attached is the provisional program for your reference.
