CCCI Relief Operations for BRGY. LUZ Fire Victims
The recent fire in Barangay Luz, Mabolo, Cebu City last Friday afternoon had burned down approximately 300 homes, and at least 565 families or 2,203 individuals were displaced (Sunstar, 05-14-12). The fire amounted to a total estimated cost of damage to about P52 million and swept through four sitios: Sto. Niño 1, Lubi, Abellana and City Central.

Scarlet May – Cervical Cancer Awareness Month Activities
This month, CCCI advocates Cervical Cancer Awareness Month – Scarlet May, together with CCCI Health Committee partners Eduardo J. Aboitiz Cancer Center (EJACC), Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMCC) and Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) Cebu Chapter to promote cervical cancer prevention in the community.

CCCI Signs Sister Chamber Agreement with ICCP
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) signed a Sister-Chamber Agreement with the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ICCP) at the Cebu City Sports Club on May 14, 2012. The event was held on the occasion of Israel’s Celebration of its 64th Independence Day. The event was graced by Israel’s Ambassador to the Philippines Menashe Bar-on, as primary witness to the partnership.
