Going All In: Bombardier Joins CareerCon Cebu 2016

When job seekers and career upgraders flock by the hundreds on September 9th and 10th at SM City Cebu Trade Hall for CareerCon Cebu 2016, Canadian multinational aerospace and transportation company Bombardier Inc. will be on hand to pick out the most deserving talents to work for them, offering great opportunities for growth  and attractive compensation packages.

Bombardier has recently sealed its commitment to be one of the major presentors at CareerCon Cebu 2016, joining along about 20 exhibitor-firms from the fields of business process outsourcing (BPO), education, manufacturing, healthcare services, distributing, and printing.

The Canadian company started as a maker of snow machines and snowmobiles, but over the years has grown into a large manufacturer of regional airliners, business airliners, business jets, mass transportation equipment, recreational equipment, and a provider of financial services.

In Cebu, Bombardier is a captive shared services office with employees mostly performing finance related back office work (with accounting, finance background). By joining CareerCon Cebu 2016, they hope to strengthen their brand and source for talents specifically those with one or more years of experience – who can fit their finance and procurement job openings.

Bombardier acknowledges that the most important success factor is their employees, almost 80,000 of them worldwide.  The organization knows what specific talents they look for and where to find them.  Impressed with the turnout when they previously joined a University job fair in Cebu, officials believe they can reach out to more people via a full-blown career fair like CareerCon Cebu 2016.

Some of the positions they’re looking to fill during the occasion include:

Finance and Accounting

  1. General Ledger/Closing and Reporting
  2. Accounts Payable
  3. Accounts Receivable and Cash Management

Global Procurement

  1. Procurement Analyst
  2. Procurement Senior Analyst
  3. Procurement Advisor
  4. Procurement Team Lead
  5. Procurement Solutions

Bombardier remains proud of their work culture, with integrity at the center of its core values.  In its website www.Bombardier.com, they uphold their commitment by stating, “We behave with integrity and in an ethical manner in everything we do and say, thereby earning and maintaining the trust and respect of customers, shareholders, suppliers, colleagues, partners, and communities.”

CareerCon Cebu 2016 is an event conceptualized and hosted by Career First Institute and will be held for the first time this year.  It was set up with the goal of helping reduce Cebu City’s unemployment problem and job mismatch.

For inquiries on how you can participate, call the CFI Secretariat at (032) 260 2797, email info@careerfirstinstitute.com or visit their office at 2/F JY Square Discovery Mall, Salinas Drive, Lahug, Cebu City.
