The FCCH 22nd Trade Mission To The Philippines

The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawai`i (Filipino Chamber) is now inviting delegates to its 22nd Trade Mission to the Philippines which will take place February 10 to 21, 2012.
The goals of this Trade Mission are: to increase business activity by promoting Hawaii and the Philippines as investment and tourism destinations, and to encourage trade and economic activity across the Pacific, specifically in the development of renewable and green technology.
Due to the prolonged recession, another goal is to assist small businesses thrive despite current economic downturn by helping companies reduce overhead through the following: promote the outsourcing of labor-intensive back-office tasks; seek new markets especially in the area of architecture/engineering and environmental consulting; and identify new products.  Because there is a need to identify options to retirement that can extend Hawai`i residents’ buying power, the Philippines as a retirement destination will also be explored.
To achieve these goals, the 22nd Trade Mission will visit several major areas experiencing tremendous economic activities: Metro Manila, Cebu, Baguio and Olongapo/Subic, including the former Clark Air Base in Angeles City in the province of Pampanga.
