32nd National Conference of Employers
Tripartism and Employment: The Way Forward
A brand new year signifies new challenges to the administration. Consequently, employers are also hounded by various issues which pose challenges to Philippine businesses. Some of the major concerns are job creation, labor law reforms, and greening businesses. The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) supports the government in its thrust of promoting public-private partnership. ECOP believes that such partnership amongst various stakeholders shall translate into economic growth that will have a trickle-down effect on the common people.
The issues and challenges shall be discussed during the 32nd National Conference of Employers (NCE 32) an annual undertaking organized by Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) to be held on 4-5 May 2011 at Marriott Hotel
Moreover, ECOP as the voice and representative of Philippine employers on labor and social policy issues, remains vigilant and proactive in upholding, promoting and maintaining industrial peace and harmonious labor-management relations.
Every year, employers are hounded by at least one hundred (100) contentious and controversial labor bills filed by legislators. Some of the bills that are harmful to employers and businesses are the Security of Tenure Bills, 10% Mandatory Wage Increase in the Private Sector. ECOP will continue to express its opposition to these bills and other legislative measures that will prove detrimental should they be passed into laws
